Horticultural Pumice
Pumice is a light siliceous vesicular volcanic rock that is suitable for use in horticulture and hydroponics. Its porosity provides air spaces that maintain aerobic conditions around the roots while water is contained within the pores. Surface tension around the outside of the pumice particles increases water-holding capacity of the growing medium.

Our pumice is mined from a land based resource, within 50kms of Lake Taupo in the North Island of New Zealand, and it is characterized by its relative hardness and light weight in comparison to competing aggregates. The washing and screening of our pumice particularly for horticultural applications means that no “fine” particles are included. Unwashed pumice can cause “concreting” and higher water holding capacity than required, consequently effecting root development.
This hardness and porosity allows free drainage lowering the risk of root-rot diseases.

Shipping & Delivery
We ship Australia wide Monday to Friday, from our warehouse in Melbourne direct to your
door. For items that weigh less than 21kg and are less than 1 meter in length we ship
Australia Post or Australia Post Express if selected. For items that are greater than 21kg or 1
meter in length we use the most suitable premium courier serve, these include Allied
Express, Couriers Please, FedEx and Startrack Express.
Once your order is scanned by the courier you will receive an automated email with a
tracking link so you can see the status and progress of your delivery, you will also receive an
additional email once your order is delivered.
Most in stock items are dispatched within 24 to 48 hours, with an average 1-3 business day
delivery to cities and most regional centres in Victoria, Tasmania South Australia, New South
Wales, and Southern Queensland. All other regions have an average 3-5 business day
delivery time, remote/rural areas may take longer.
We charge freight at our cost and don’t add any margin. If you prefer to use your own courier

Shipping & Delivery
Oversize items require a specialised delivery method, unfortunately this can’t be automated,
however we are able to provide freight quotes specific to your requirements.
We have several options available, these include tail gate lift truck, forklift load and delivery
to a site with a forklift, delivery to a nearby depot for pick up or if you are in Victoria we can
deliver in one of our trucks. You can also arrange your own freight and we can forklift load
for no extra charge.
We charge freight at our cost and don’t add any margin. If you purchase an oversized item
online and are not satisfied with the delivery cost we will happily refund your purchase.

This product is as described in the advert. It should be ok for the intended purpose, which is as a component of a soilless mineral based potting mix for succulent plants, including cacti.
My only negative comment relates to the amount of water that is contained within the bag. I imagine that it is there to minimise dust. But the product is wringing wet. That significantly adds to the weight of the 25 litre bag.

I have used this product for a while and it’s one part of my potting mix , the consistency in size does not vary from bag to bag which is something you don’t find to often in this day and age
So if you if want to use in you soil mix do not hesitate to buy
