This matting keeps plants moist and stops the need for wasteful overhead watering. Plants can easily absorb water from the matting due to a water holding capacity of over 600% of its own weight and the mats design enhances rapid capillary rise.

The best way to keep moisture up to the capillary matting is via drip irrigation by placing drip line at approx. 200mm centres across the width of the mat then install drip emitters every 150mm along the drip line. Initially a good wetting with a hose prior to placing pots and installing drip line onto the mat is the best way to commence the capillary system working.

Fantastic item worked a charm when I went overseas for 3 weeks. Be sure to blast it with a hose on jet setting to properly soak it. Great price too

This capillary matting is fantastic saves me having to water I only fill a reservoir and drape a small section of the matting in the reservoir and once every couple of weeks top up the reservoir.It then waters a section of nepenthes 3 meters by 6 meters.
