Dr Greenthumbs Root Roids | Mycorrhizae & Nutrient Solubilizing Bacteria

Root Roids is Australia’s premier 100% organic rootzone biostimulant and growth enhancer. Formulated with a potent blend of living microorganisms, it is designed to create massive colonies of beneficial fungi and bacteria directly in your root zone. Whether you are growing in soil, coco, or hydroponics, Root Roids works to naturally unlock nutrients, leading to explosive root growth, increased yields, and superior flavor profiles.

Often referred to as Australia’s answer to Mykos, this premium growth enhancer is targeted at both hobbyist and commercial growers looking to shorten vegetative cycles and optimize plant vigor. Growers frequently report a 7–10 day reduction in the vegetative period due to the massive increase in nutrient uptake and plant health.

Features and Benefits

  • Explosive Root Growth: Encourages the development of a massive, healthy root system for better stability and nutrient absorption.
  • Increased Vigor & Yields: Naturally unlocks and retains nutrients longer, leading to stronger plants and faster growth rates.
  • Faster Vegetative Growth: Can shorten the vegetative period by 7–10 days, allowing for quicker turnovers.
  • Reduced Fertilizer Costs: Hydroponic growers may see a 15–25% reduction in fertilizer requirements while achieving higher quality results.
  • Living Soil Technology: Contains high-target Mycorrhizae and nutrient-solubilizing bacteria that eliminate detrimental organisms in the root zone.
  • Rapid Results: Visible improvements in plant health and vitality can often be seen within just 48 hours.

  • Organic Soil: Mix ½ to 1 scoop per litre of water. Apply weekly throughout vegetative and flowering stages.
  • Hydroponics / Water Cultivation: Mix ½ scoop per litre of water. Use fortnightly in agitated/active systems. In passive systems, replace the solution with fresh water after 48 hours.
  • Propagation: Mix 1/4 scoop per litre of water; drench growing media thoroughly. Repeat when the first signs of roots appear.
  • Foliar Spray: Mix ½ scoop per litre of water. Spray at night and allow 10 hours of rest. Use fortnightly. (Note: May stain surfaces).

Application Tips

When mixing with nutrient solutions, always add Root Roids last after you have adjusted the pH of your tank. While Root Roids may slightly raise the pH of the water, this does not need to be corrected as it will buffer naturally once applied to the root zone. If growing in Coco, cease use one week before your final flush period.

FAQs

Does Root Roids replace my standard fertilizer?
No, Root Roids is a biostimulant designed to compliment your existing nutrient program by making those nutrients more available to the plant.

Can I use this in an automated irrigation system?
Yes, but it is best used in active/agitated systems. In passive or still reservoirs, ensure the solution is used or replaced within 48 hours to maintain microorganism health.

How long do the microbes stay alive in the soil?
Once applied, the microbes establish a colony. However, weekly applications are recommended to ensure the population remains dominant and effective throughout the plant’s life cycle.

Is it safe for organic gardening?
Absolutely. Root Roids is 100% organic and formulated with living ingredients, making it perfect for organic soil enthusiasts.
