When purchasing a potting machine for your nursery, you may want to house the machine in a shed or an area without 3 phase power. Sage Horticultural now offers a phase changing component for purchase to assist in the operation of the machine, where 3 phase power might not be available.

At the small end of the Phase-Changer range, the 2.2KW and 3KW converters are offered as a "plug-in to socket-out" design, meaning you simply plug the converter in to a standard 10A or 15A single phase outlet, and you get 3 phase 415V immediately on the 3 phase outlet that you can plug your machine in to. It's as simple as that! 

For converters to 4KW, you also have the choice of the full multistage controller or an alternative lower cost single stage controller. The single stage changer still provides hard start capability, but does not have the automatic voltage trimming stages, that the multi-stage unit has. This is still good in many applications; typically single motor loads where voltage symmetry may be less important. 

All converters from 4KW upwards require hardwiring to a power board fitted with the correctly sized circuit breakers or fuses. A comprehensive installation guide is included with your Phase-Changer.

Provided you have adequate single phase power available, there is always a Phase Changing solution that will reliably power any 3 phase machine. Addidtional workshop equipment such as welders, compressors, pumps, computer controlled machines, air conditioners, in fact anything that requires 3 phase power can be operated by a Phase Changer converter, sometimes at the sam etime as your potting machine. Even big "hard to start" loads will start & run reliably with power from a Phase Changer.

Your local electrician simply connects the input to your single phase supply via a new circuit breaker. And just like standard utility 3 phase, the output is connected to your machinery - and that's it - you're ready to go!

Compare the cost of a Phase Changer to the cost of connecting to a utility power supply, and in most cases the Phase Changer will cost far less. And you own it. It can be relocated or resold if your circumstances ever change.
